Caroline Lim is a veteran HR strategist and thought leader with over 30 years of varied and extensive experience in HR management and has worked with many large private and public sector organizations in Manufacturing, Retail, Consulting Services and the Port Industry.

In her foundational years with Apple Computer, Caroline learnt the ropes of HR, became a full-fledged practitioner and gained the valuable insight that high-performing teams often thrive in environments that encourage play and engender trust.

Following more than 12 years in Apple Computer, Caroline took on an HR role in DFS, a luxury retailing organization for a short stint before progressing to the role of Regional Vice-President of HR with Ernst & Young Global Client Consulting for another seven years. While leading all the facets of HR covering thirteen countries in the Asia Pacific region, Caroline was part of the global management team that lent support towards the organization's "Global State 2002" during the mid to late 90's. Coined "GS02" it was an initiative aimed at charting the future of the organization relating to "people" and preparing them to face the challenges and seize the opportunities of the 21st Century.

Caroline also gained invaluable experience in the melding of organizational cultures during and after Ernst & Young's acquisition by Cap Gemini of the Ernst & Young global consulting arm. Over the years, Caroline has become known as the prominent HR Integration Leader, savvy in Change Management and Culture Change Transformation.

Currently based in Singapore, Caroline has been the Global Head of Human Resource & Corporate Affairs in PSA International since 2003, where she is also a member of the Senior Management Council of the PSA Group.

Wonderland is Caroline's first book and by taking a creative and playful look at organizational development, it seeks to engage, entertain and enlighten readers of all management backgrounds.

Caroline has ingeniously synthesized years of in-depth knowledge and experience in transformational HR and Organizational Development to produce Wonderland, in the hope that readers will benefit from the gamut of practical and refreshing ideas in workplace transformation and culture development.

Ever passionate in whatever she does, Caroline's mantra to senior leaders is that "HR should not only be ‘at the table'; HR is the table!"

In recognition of her numerous professional accomplishments, two notable Awards were conferred on Caroline two years consecutively; these were the "Best HR Leader" Award (2008) and the Special Award for "Outstanding Contributions to HR" (2009) by industry magazine HRM, which represented views from organization leaders and those polled in the HR profession.

On the personal side, the creation of Wonderland has been a wondrous journey of self-discovery for Caroline, not least in melding her passion for HR and her fascination with art. The challenge of conveying the world of Wonderland to her readers has led Caroline into her first foray illustrating for a published work. In drawing the make-believe realm of cards, animals, elves and fairies, Caroline's conviction has been strengthened that imagery is indeed powerful in influencing people's thoughts, moods and emotions. Wonderland is the synthesis of a deep passion for people and a profound belief in the power of the creative arts. In the author's own metamorphic experience, it was a fulfilling process presenting practical realities while bringing the imagination to life.
